I always like to read a scary book around this time to get in the spirit of Halloween. I’ve got some good recommendations that may have you keeping the lights on.
Halloween is right around the corner, and so is the tradition of the Whitefish Bay Great Pumpkin Festival. The festival runs from Wednesday, October 26 through Saturday, October 29 from 6-9pm each night. The pumpkins are located right across the street from the library in Old Schoolhouse Park. On Sunday, October 30 and Monday, October 31, there will be a lighted display only from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with no additional activities. Halloween is the perfect time to read a scary story, although I enjoy them any time of the year. Here are a few reads that kept me up late but had me leaving the lights on at bedtime.
Thanks to Valerie for offering some fun family books in the previous blog post. For those people traveling alone or who need a break from the holidays here are some adult audiobooks to dive into. The following audiobooks contain a cast of interesting characters and wonderful voice actors that bring them to life. These are all excellent titles that I would recommend to pass the time on those long drives or flights this holiday season.
