Coming back to your fall routine may involve the pleasure of listening to favorite authors or new titles that came out on Audiobook formats this summer. You can enjoy them on the way to work or your daily walks. Listening to a book is an experience like no other, it enters your psyche and becomes part of you similar to the print experience, but maybe more with the help of a good narrator. Here are some of the new and worthy titles we added to our collection ready for you to discover and enjoy.

Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann

Listening to this book will make people rethink what they know about oil, the settlement of the West, and the treatment of the Native Americans. The book covers a lot of information, history and horror that listeners will remember for a long time.

Option B., by Sheryl Sandberg

She reveals how she found ways not to self-destruct, how she helped her kids and refocused in a positive way of thinking. Her heartfelt wisdom along with the sensitive performance of narrator Elisa Donovan make this a high impact listen for people who suffered all manner of loss.

Are you anybody? By Jeffrey Tambor and read by the author

He is the well-known actor who played in Larry Sanders Show, Arrested Development and Transparent. In this memoir the author takes us on a journey through his career in a welcoming, engaging and entertaining way. A pleasure to listen!

 In the fiction section:

Late show by Michael Connelly

Detective Renée Ballard is the female form of Michael Connelly’s famous character Harry Bosh. She is a new and worthy successor. Read by Katherine Moening, who compliments the caginess and edginess of the character. A definite page turner.

House of spies by Daniel Silva

The story moves quickly from the glamour of St. Tropez to the grit and filth of Casablanca. It is an action thriller where Gabriel Allon, the spy, assassin and art restorer, takes us again on a fascinating journey and leaves us waiting for the next installment.

Breakdown by BA Paris

The Break Down is the story of an anguished heroine who is afraid of losing her husband knowing she has early stage dementia. She discovers she might have played a role in a brutal murder. The mystery is resolved and questions answered in a skillful delivery by the narrator Georgia Maguire. A great listen.
